Averett’s Myers awarded VaSID Rookie of the Year and First-Team honors

DANVILLE, Va. – Continuing his award count, Averett University men’s golf freshman Chase Myers earned the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) College Division Rookie of the Year award and All-State First Team recognition on Monday. Myers, hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, was also named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Rookie of the Year and a first-teamer back in April. He became the program’s fourth VaSID Rookie of the Year selection, and first since Max Pettersson in 2023.
