Flukey Selected by Tigers in First Round of MLB Draft

CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina junior right-handed pitcher Cameron Flukey was selected by the Detroit Tigers with the No. 22 overall pick in the first round of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft on Saturday. Flukey’s selection makes him the highest Major League Baseball Draft pick in Coastal Carolina baseball history, surpassing Eric Brown, who was selected No. 27 overall by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2022.
