George Washington’s Robbie Lavey Drafted by San Diego Padres
With the 124th pick in the 2026 MLB Draft, the San Diego Padres selected Robbie Lavey from The George Washington University. The junior catcher from nearby Oakton, Virginia, heard his name called in Philadelphia ahead of Major League Baseball’s All-Star break and became GW’s highest drafted player in program history. Lavey is also the first Atlantic 10 player selected in the 2026 MLB Draft.
