Baseball: Brasch Picked In Eighth Round by San Francisco in MLB Draft
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns right-handed pitcher Cody Brasch was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the eighth round of the 2026 MLB Draft on Sunday, becoming the 125th player in program history to be chosen in the MLB Draft. Brasch was the No. 238 overall selection and became the sixth player in school history drafted by the Giants. The Haslet, Texas native became the first Ragin’ Cajun player selected by San Francisco since right-hander Reagan Bazar was chosen in 2016.
