Fitzwater selected by Chicago White Sox in 2026 MLB Draft

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – In Round 13 of the 2026 MLB Draft held in Philadelphia during All-Star Weekend, the Chicago White Sox selected VMI Baseball first baseman Grayson Fitzwater . Fitzwater became the 37th Keydet to be drafted and the first position player drafted since 2018. This marks the third player drafted in the Sam Roberts era (Will Riley – 2024; Holden Wilkerson – 2024). There have now been just two Keydets drafted by the South Side team (Adam Lopez – 2011).
