KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island Baseball’s shortstop Reece Moroney was selected in the 10th round of the 2026 MLB Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies as the 309th pick overall on Sunday afternoon. A Second Team All-Atlantic 10 honoree and the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year this season, Moroney finished the year with a program record and league best 90 hits.
