Jets sign top prospect Viggo Bjorck to entry-level contract
One of the top prospects coming out of this year’s NHL Draft is officially coming to North America. On Monday, the Winnipeg Jets announced that the team has signed forward Viggo Björck to a three-year, entry-level contract. The deal will carry an NHL AAV of $1.075 million. Björck was taken by the Jets in the first round, eighth overall, of last month’s draft. It became clear that he intended to join his new team when he left his Swedish club, Djurgården IF of the Swedish Hockey League, last week.
