Josh Skowronski Signs Free Agent Deal with San Diego Padres
ROCK HILL, S.C. — Winthrop University outfielder Josh Skowronski signed a free agent contract with the San Diego Padres. Skowronski suited up with the Eagles for two seasons after joining following one season at the University of Kentucky. In 2026, Skowronski played in 57 games for Winthrop and hit .275 with a .428 on-base percentage and .471 slugging percentage. He racked up 56 hits, including 18 doubles, 2 triples, and 6 home runs, while driving in 33 runs, scoring 50 times, and drawing 48 walks against 46 strikeouts.
