Report: Red Sox’s Contreras won’t waive no-trade clause, wants to retire in Boston
Willson Contreras has only been with the Boston Red Sox for 88 games, but he appears to be more than content in Beantown. The 34-year-old first baseman told Red Sox brass that he wouldn’t waive his no-trade clause to facilitate a deal elsewhere and that he wants to retire with the organization, MassLive’s Chris Cotillo reported on Tuesday. “I’ve found my family,” Contreras said, per Cotillo.
