WGCA All-American Scholar Team honors given to four Wildcats

The Wayne State College women’s golf team had four players named to the WGCA (Women’s Golf Coaches Association) All-American Scholar Team announced Monday by the group’s office in Frisco, Texas. Senior Saffire Sayre , junior Hailey Kenkel and sophomores Camryn Johnson and Gaia Stancikova each received the prestigious honor with Sayre named for the third time as a Wildcat. To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, remain on the roster through the conclusion of the season and have played in at least 50 percent of the team’s competitive rounds…
