The Thunder men’s basketball program earns academic recognitions from the NABC

Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton men’s basketball program has been recognized with a Team Academic Excellence Award from the NABC for the 2025-26 season.This year’s recognition mark’s the 11th time since the award began in 2012-13 that Wheaton has earned the distinction. Head coach Mike Schauer ‘s program also received the recognition in 2012-13, 2013-14, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25. The NABC Team Excellence award recognizes outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2025-26 season.
