A Seattle World Cup beacon is being auctioned for charity
If you’ve spent any time in Seattle over the past couple of months, you’ve surely noticed these whale-tale-shaped World Cup beacons in various businesses. Some of them are about a foot tall and can sit on a desk, others are much bigger and require a lot of space. The idea behind them was to highlight local businesses and non-profits, while also raising some money. Especially in the case of the bigger ones, the non-profits don’t actually have anywhere to store them permanently.
