Costin, Niday win GRPA state tennis championships

Published 3:05 pm Monday, July 20, 2026 MOULTRIE – Colquitt County’s Julia Costin and Mark Carlson Niday have won Georgia Recreation and Park Association’s state tennis championships. The state tournament was held Wednesday, July 15, in Hazlehurst. GRPA Districts 1, 2 and 3 were represented. Players from Bacon, Screven, Appling, Jeff Davis, Wayne, Brantley, Berrien, Coffee and Colquitt counties competed. Costin defeated fellow Colquitt countian Allie Rowley 6-2 in the 18U girls singles finals to win her championship.
