Chiappetta wins gold medal at World Lacrosse Women’s Championship Division II
WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross rising sophomore defender Gabriela Chiappetta won a gold medal with Italy at the 2026 World Lacrosse Women's Championship Division II. The tournament took place in Wroclaw, Poland, from July 11-18. Chiappetta and Italy defeated Mexico 11-4 in the gold medal game, after downing New Zealand 10-5 in the semifinals. The Italians began the tournament by posting a 4-1 record in pool play, beating Norway (23-2), Poland (12-3), Hong Kong (12-4) and Switzerland (19-5), while falling to Mexico (9-6).
