Huntington powerlifters place in meets
A pair of Huntington athletes have had successful summers competing in a powerlifting meets. Huntington incoming 8th grader Bradley Willis placed first in the 114-pound teen weight class in the Natural Athlete Strength Association USA Nationals in Oklahoma City on June 27. Willis finished with a 308-pound squat, 159-pound bench press and 236-pound deadlift to place first in his division. Incoming sophomore Connor Ford placed second in the 308-pound weight class at the United States High School Powerlifting Association meet in Sherman on July 17. Ford, 15, benched 500 pounds to break the school record.
