Four Tigers Earn 2026 DI Women’s ITA Scholar-Athlete Recognition
TOWSON, Md. – Four Towson University student-athletes have been honored as 2026 Division I Women's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Scholar-Athletes. Sofia Anderson , Chloe Courtnage , Gaia Montecchi and Kiersten Tambe are DI Women's ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 season. Three of these athletes, Courtnage, Montecchi and Tambe, were 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team honorees. To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, nominees must have at least a 3.5 grade point average (GPA) for the current academic year. Athletes are nominated by ITA members.
