Herons secure AVCA Team Academic Award

The 2025 William Smith volleyball team was not only one of the best in the nation on the court, but also among the nation’s elite in the classroom, earning the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award. The Herons produced a collective GPA of 3.51 during the 2025-26 academic year, marking the first time the program has earned the award. The award is presented to college and high school teams across the nation that maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA during the academic year.
