Pioneers Selected for Fourth Straight AVCA Team Academic Excellence Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. - For the fourth consecutive season, the Malone University volleyball team was tabbed as an American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award winner. The Pioneers, under the direction of then-head coach Rafael Gonzalez , were one of 1,432 programs across the collegiate and high school levels to earn the honor in the 2025-26 academic year. In order to be eligible, a program must maintain a team cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or above on a 4.0 scale.
