MOT’s bid for Junior Little League World Series berth foiled
Delaware's Middletown-Odessa-Townsend team was eliminated from the Junior Little League East Regional. MOT lost two close games to New Jersey's Freehold Township on July 30. Freehold Township won the deciding game 9-8 after forcing it with a 12-11 victory earlier in the day. After three one-run wins positioned it to reach the Junior Little League World Series, Middletown-Odessa-Townsend was foiled by two such defeats on July 30. The Delaware champs lost twice to New Jersey champion Freehold Township at the East Regional July 30 in DuBois, Pennsylvania.
