Okafor Begins U18 Women’s EuroBasket Saturday

Incoming freshman Somto Okafor joins Team Spain at the 2026 FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket in Stockholm, Sweden, from Aug. 1-9. The early August tournament will be Okafor’s fourth international competition with Spain. The 5-foot-9 guard captured gold at the U20 Women’s EuroBasket in 2025, averaging 10.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in seven appearances. Okafor shined at another 2025 tournament, the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup.
