Soccer opens exhibition play against Texas and TAMU-Corpus Christi this week

SAN ANTONIO – Kicking off the first action for UTSA soccer and UTSA Athletics overall ahead of the ninth season under Derek Pittman, the reigning American Conference Champion Roadrunners will open exhibition season this week with matchups at home and on the road. On Wednesday, Aug. 5, the Roadrunners will host Texas at 7:30 p.m. at the Park West Athletics Complex. The Longhorns win the SEC in 2024, but suffered a 4-12-1 campaign in 2025 that puts the 2026 roster under the guidance of Margueritte Bates, who won the 2022 National Championship at UCLA.
