EIU Women’s Soccer Earns Academic Award

The United Soccer Coaches has announced its College Team Academic Award winners for the 2025-26 season. Eastern Illinois women's soccer was among the 777 total soccer teams (326 men, 451 women) at the collegiate level to earn the award. To earn the award a team most post a 3.0 or higher cumulative team GPA for the 2025-26 academic year. Eastern Illinois finished with a 3.61 GPA for the year. A total of five Ohio Valley Conference women's programs earned the academic award this year. EIU will open the 2026 regular season on Thursday, August 13 hosting Valparaiso at Lakeside Field.
