Beavers Battle Hard, Fall at South Carolina

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Oregon State women's soccer team battled for the full 90 minutes, but fell 2-0 to South Carolina Wednesday evening in Columbia. The Beavers were able to withstand an early South Carolina surge to keep the Gamecocks, who are receiving votes in the preseason United Soccer Coaches Poll, off the scoreboard in the first half. OSU head coach Caroline Kelly made a return to her alma mater in the match, having played goalkeeper at South Carolina in her senior season.
