SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (UNLVRebels.com) – A late goal downed the UNLV women's soccer team in a 1-0 defeat at Cal Poly in Wednesday's night season opener at Mustang Memorial Field at Spanos Stadium. In a physical contest with a combined 24 fouls, the Mustangs (1-0) broke the scoreless tie on an 85th-minute penalty kick after a foul call in the box went against the Rebels (0-1).
