Wildcats battle Utah to scoreless draw in season opener

Weber State opened the 2026 soccer season with a 0-0 draw against Utah Wednesday night at Ute Field in Salt Lake City. Sophomore goalkeeper Lauren Butorac recorded seven saves as the Wildcats held the Utes scoreless over 90 minutes. Utah finished with 17 shots, including seven on goal. Weber State had four shots with two on frame. Utah put its first two shots on goal in the 12th and 13th minutes, with Butorac making saves on both attempts.
