Canadiens’ Juraj Slafkovsky named Slovakian hockey player of the year
Montreal Canadiens forward Juraj Slafkovský has once again been crowned the 2026 Slovak Hockey Player of the Year. It is the third consecutive year and fourth time overall that Slafkovsky has been named the top player. The 22-year-old winger was also awarded the prestigious Jozef Golonka Award as the nation's best forward following a breakout 2025–26 campaign for both club and country.
