Mokelke’s Second-Half Strike Helps Minnesota Earn 1-1 Draw Against No. 19 Georgia

PAUL, Minn. - T he University of Minnesota women's soccer team (1-0-1, 0-0-0 Big Ten) earned a point against No. 19 Georgia (0-2-0, 0-0-0 SEC) in a 1-1 draw Sunday afternoon at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium in front of 559 fans. Despite the tie, the Golden Gophers led offensively against the 19th-ranked Bulldogs in shots (17-6), shots on goal (8-4) and corner kicks (3-1). Davy Mokelke scored Minnesota's lone goal in the 62nd minute. Ava Westlund tallied four shots with two on frame.
