HIGH SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY: Huntington’s Guajardo wins Tyler Legacy meet

Huntington senior Gabe Guajardo took first place in the Tyler Legacy Class 1A-4A cross country meet on Saturday. Guajardo, a Class 3A state qualifier in cross country for the Red Devils last year, ran the 5,000 meters in 17:17 to get the win. Guajardo finished 15 seconds ahead of Canton’s Peyton Chandler, who was second in 17:32.
