Burnette Takes Third, Women’s Golf Sixth at Clemson Classic
CLEMSON, S.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's golf team opened the 2026-27 season on Monday at the Tiger Classic, finishing sixth overall with a 17-over-par (593) at Walker Course in Clemson, South Carolina. TEAM UNCG carded rounds of 296-297 to finish the 36-hole tournament at 17-over-par (593). Host school, Clemson, claimed the team title with a 3-over-par (579). The Spartans finished ahead of in-state rivals Western Carolina, who placed seventh with a 30-over-par (606), and UNC Asheville, who earned eighth place with a 46-over-par (622).
