Flames to sign Alex Nylander to PTO

The Calgary Flames are expected to sign forward Alex Nylander to a professional tryout, PuckPedia reported Tuesday night. The 28-year-old forward spent the 2025-26 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs’ AHL affiliate, the Toronto Marlies, where he scored 24 goals and reached career highs with 29 assists and 53 points in 65 regular-season games. He also added six goals and an assist for seven points in 24 AHL playoff games, helping the Marlies win the Calder Cup championship.
