Chargers open season Friday

Published 11:11 am Wednesday, August 26, 2026 After coming up just short of reaching last year’s Class 7A state championship game the Oxford Chargers are set to open the 2026 campaign with goals of getting back to the North Half title game and beyond. The Chargers will start the season on Friday, hosting Collierville (TN) at 7 p.m. at Bobby Holcomb Field. Chris Cutcliffe is entering his 11th season as the Chargers head coach and looking to bring a second state title back to Oxford.
