No. 11 Men’s Soccer Fall to Lake Erie in Season Opener

ERIE, Pa. – The No. 11 Gannon men’s soccer team opened the 2026 season on Thursday evening with a 2-0 setback against Lake Erie at McConnell Family Stadium. The Golden Knights controlled much of the offensive pressure, finishing with a 17-7 advantage in shots and a 6-2 edge in corner kicks, but were unable to find the back of the net. Lake Erie scored twice in the opening 23 minutes and held Gannon scoreless the rest of the way to secure the victory.
