Phoenix Rolls To First Win Of Season

ELON – The Elon football team kicked off its 2026 season with a 42-7 win against Glenville State at Rhodes Stadium on Thursday night. Brady Stober accounted for three touchdowns in his Phoenix debut and Jimmyll Williams added two more on the ground, while the Elon defense held the visiting Pioneers to just 125 total offensive yards. HOW IT HAPPENED After a season-opening three-and-out defensive stand, Elon marched 58 yards on 10 plays before punching in its first touchdown on a 2-yard rush by Stober.
