Monmouth Field Hockey Earns 5-1 Season Opening Win Over No. 17 Rutgers

WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ — Monmouth University opened up its 2026 season with a win over No. 17 nationally ranked Rutgers Friday on So Sweet A Cat Field. The No. 18 Hawks (1-0 overall, 0-0 CAA) out-paced the Scarlet Knights (0-1, 0-0 Big Ten) throughout the game.
