Women’s Cross Country Picked to Finish Runner-Up in MIAA Preseason Coaches’ Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) released its 2026 Women's Cross Country Preseason Coaches' Poll, and the Hillcats were picked to finish second, matching a program-best prediction achieved last season. RSU collected a total of 128 points and received three first-place votes following a runner-up finish last season at the MIAA Championship in Pittsburg – just one point behind first-place. The defending four-time champions, Pittsburg State, are favored to win the conference with 138 points and seven first-place votes.
