Football Opens Season at Dayton
DAYTON, Ohio — Fairmont State (0-1) fell to Division I, the University of Dayton (1-0) with a final score of 43-20 on Saturday at Welcome Stadium. The Falcons scored three touchdowns, including a 44-yard pass, but were unable to overcome the Flyers’ strong performance in the second quarter. Fairmont State began the first quarter by deferring the kickoff, allowing Dayton to start with possession.
