Griffins Fall to Washburn to Close Out Washburn Invitational

TOPEKA, Kan. — Westminster volleyball closed out the Washburn Invitational with a four-set loss to host Washburn, 1-3 (17-25, 25-23, 12-25, 22-25), on Saturday. Washburn hit .264 as a team (60-21-148), led by Emma Siron's 13 kills on .263 hitting and Hayden Meats' 13 kills on a .524 clip. Setter Shannon Frakes ran the offense with 48 assists. Westminster's lone set win came in the second, 25-23, evening the match before Washburn took the final two sets.
