POMONA, Calif. --- Biola fell 2-1 at Cal Poly Pomona, dropping to 0-2 on the young season despite a second-half goal from Briley Phelps that pulled the Eagles within one. The hosts broke through twice in a five-minute span early in the second half. A goal in the 47th minute put Cal Poly Pomona up 1-0, and the home side doubled its lead just three minutes later to make it 2-0.
