Rookie Helzer Shines In Season Opener

NASHPORT, Ohio (8/30/2026) -- Freshman Christian Helzer ended his collegiate debut with an under-par performance and led the Titans as the University of Detroit Mercy men's golf team wrapped up its fall opener on Sunday at the Virtues Intercollegiate. UDM finished 11th overall with a 909 (305-301-303) at the par 72, 7,243-yard Virtues Golf Club in Nashport, Ohio.
