Tritons Down Pepperdine in OT, Finish Invite with 5-1 Record

LA JOLLA, Calif. — The No. 12 UC San Diego men’s water polo team closed out its Triton Invitational Sunday with a thrilling overtime victory against No. 8 Pepperdine at Canyonview Aquatic Center in La Jolla. Coupled with a 21-7 win against McKendree earlier in the day, the Tritons finished the three-day event with a 5-1 record. HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST PEPPERDINE Tied 15-15 after regulation, the game headed into two three-minute overtime periods.
