Women’s Soccer Downed by Waynesburg in Season Opener

WAYNESBURG, Pa. - The Glenville State Women's Soccer team fell to Waynesburg on the road on Saturday (Aug. 29) afternoon, 2-0, to begin the 2026 campaign. Waynesburg, who won 17 games a year ago, used a pair of second half goals to down the Pioneers. 1st Half Neither team cound find the back of the net in the opening half, with GSU controlling much of the tempo early on. The Pioneers fired off six shots compared to Waynesburg's three, with four of those six being on goal. Lucia Lopez logged a save as the first stanza came to a close....
