Yankees To Claim John Schreiber

It was reported a couple of days ago that the Royals would be placing Schreiber on waivers. The Yankees have a couple of open spots on the 40-man roster. Active rosters expand from 26 to 28 tomorrow, allowing teams to go from a maximum of 13 pitchers to 14. Therefore, it seems the Yankees won’t need to make a corresponding move to accommodate this claim. More to come....
