A night to forget for both offense and pitching as Braves fall to the Nationals, 9-5

It’s September and it feels like we’ve been waiting a lifetime for this 2026 Braves team to put everything together. Glimpses of dominant pitching and barrages of offensive power have rarely coincided for long stretches. After a frustrating loss to the Giants to finish out August, the Braves similarly squandered opportunities and fell to the Washington Nationals tonight by a final score of 9-5.
