Avalanche owner acquires controlling interest in Los Angeles Angels

One of the richest people in the United States of America is adding another professional sports team to his portfolio. On Tuesday, it was reported that Colorado Avalanche owner Stan Kroenke and his group, Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, acquired a controlling interest in the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball from Arte Moreno. Kroenke, who is the largest private landowner in the country, now has ownership shares of eight different sports franchises.
