MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — Shaw University opened the 2026 men's soccer season with a 7-1 setback against the University of Mount Olive on Tuesday evening at Amon Field. The Bears (0-1) wasted little time getting on the scoreboard as Janis Brater found the back of the net just 39 seconds into the contest to give Shaw an early 1-0 advantage.
