MLS teams to fully participate in U.S. Open Cup for first time since 2023

All 27 U.S.-based MLS teams will participate in the 2027 U.S. Open Cup, multiple sources briefed on the decision confirmed to The Athletic. MLS teams will enter the 2027 U.S. Open Cup in July in the Round of 64. The Open Cup final will be held in December.
