WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ — Monmouth Field Hockey moved up to No. 17 in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll after capturing its seventh nationally ranked win Friday after defeating No. 18 Rutgers. The Hawks opened the 2026 season with a 5-1 victory over the Scarlet Knights who dropped to No. 20 in the latest NFHCA poll. Monmouth's offense was spread around with 11 different players registering at least a point in the victory.
