New Season, Familiar Core for NYU

New York University’s women’s soccer team opens its 2026 season on Tuesday, September 1, on the road against Babson College in Babson Park, MA. The Violets, who finished 9-6-4 last season, return their top three goal scorers (Marlee Scanlon, Sari Frankl, and Alexa Buxbaum) from last year’s group. Scanlon led the way with seven, while Frankl and Buxbaum followed with five each. Also returning is junior goalkeeper Mia Capo, who finished second in the University Athletic Association (UAA) in saves (51).
