Porter Named Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week

FRISCO, Texas – Senior Katie Porter of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer team received some much-deserved recognition on Tuesday, as it was announced by the league office that she was named the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the period of August 25-31. Porter, a forward from Tampa, Florida, kept her fantastic start to the 2026 season going last week, scoring goals in both of the Islanders’ matches to help them continue their program record five-game unbeaten streak to begin the year.
