Cardinal Women Narrowly Take Second at UIW Twilight

SAN ANTONIO -- Despite a great effort, the University of the Incarnate Word women's cross country team fell four points short of the top spot, having to settle for second at the season-opening Sam Musgrave UIW Twilight, held at the Classics Elite Soccer Complete Tuesday. Led by medalist Alexia Macias, who finished in 14:06.92, Texas State earned the win with 31 points while the Cardinals finished with 35. Trinity was in a distant third with 65 points.
